Student eligibility through NAACLS accreditation
Students who complete a clinical lab program that is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) are eligible to sit for an AMTr lab certification. AMTr exams for Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS(AMTr), Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(AMTr), and Registered Phlebotomy Technician RPT(AMTr) are accepted for NAACLS benchmarking. This means that reporting the number of students who certify through AMTr helps a program meet NAACLS standards and stay accredited.
